  1.   Octolris is a slime octopus;
  2. the only one of his species.
  3. While he was florping around
  4. one day, he got snagged in the
  5. net of a crazed sushi fishing
  6. boat and bludgeoned by one of
  7. the workers before he could 
  8. escape.
  9.   Octolris can live on land
  10. for a short while, but he
  11. dries up quickly and needs
  12. slime to coat his body
  13. regularly. When his body is
  14. totally covered with the
  15. stuff, it becomes adhesive,
  16. enabling Octolris to stick to
  17. things.
  18.   To get back to the story,
  19. when he awoke, Octolris found
  20. himself in an odd warehouse
  21. that smelled like fish. He
  22. wriggled out of the net. The
  23. air was cold, but moist enough
  24. that Octolris could manage. It
  25. was very dark, but he was able
  26. to find the door.
  27.   Octolris made up his mind
  28. then and there that he had to
  29. find a way back to the ocean.
  30. Whatever way there was, he
  31. would take it.
  32.   He had to get back.
  33.  
  34. The adventure begins . . . .
